Steak Tacos

Thinly sliced steak cooked to your liking and home made tortillas

Ingredients:
  • 500g Plain Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 bag Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix 
  • Steak Strips (cooked to your liking)
  • Fresh Jalapenos – thinly sliced
  • Avocado – sliced
  • Red Cabbage – thinly sliced
  • Lime Wedges and Coriander to serve

Method:
  1. In a large bowl, add yogurt and Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread mix
  2. Combine mixture with a fork and then use your hands until everything is well combined and the dough comes together in a ball
  3. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead with your hands for about 1 minute, cut the dough into 12 equal size pieces and shape each piece into a ball
  4. Heat a skillet or frying pan over a medium heat and let it preheat for a couple of minutes. Working with one ball at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll it out into a 6 – 8 inch round
  5. Place the tortilla in the hot skillet or frying pan for 1 minute on one side and 30 seconds on the other side. The tortilla is done when it has a few brown spots on each side. Repeat the rolling and cooking process with the remaining balls of dough.
  6. Fill the tortilla with steak, sliced cabbage, avocado and fresh jalapenos.
  7. Top with coriander and serve with lime wedges.
